What are my different options for training?

Private one hour sessions are available in your home or a park near to your home.

If the session requires it, I will use a canine trainer. I will bring one of four dogs based on need and suitability - Odie the Boxer Mix (70 lbs), Nova the Havanese (11 lbs), Fancy the Chow Mix (30 lbs) or Alfie the Sheepadoodle (85 lbs), as well as use public parks to simulate real life scenarios you are likely to run into from time to time. This teaches your canine Polite Greetings and proper Pet to Pet Social Etiquette

Virtual Sessions are available via Zoom. These are half hour sessions modeled after in person sessions that can be done in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Who should attend each session?

Anyone involved in your dog’s daily life. This would be anyone who lives in the same house as the dog including but not limited to yourself, a partner and any children/parents. Any person who is likely to be looking after your pup for extended periods of time should also be there. Consistency across everyone in your canine’s life is the key to their success!

My outdoor session is today and the weather is terrible. Will my session be cancelled?

Living in Canada means we can never be sure of the weather! When the weather is bad, your canine may not get the most out of an outdoor session. Pams Paws offers two options should the weather become an issue:

  • Moving an outdoor session can easily be moved to inside your home.

  • Rescheduling the session, subject to availability.

Can old dogs learn new tricks?

Of course! Pams Paws offers a comprehensive obedience training program for puppies, as well as programs for older dogs. Sometimes it’s a behavior you never really knew how to train out of your canine, sometimes they aren’t a huge fan of a new pup in the house. Pams Paws can help you figure out what your dog needs - no matter the age!

How do I book with Pams Paws?

Fill out the Pams Paws Training Application form and send it in! Training sessions are subject to availability.

Do you have a training facility?

Pams Paws is a completely mobile trainer. All sessions are held in the clients home or at a park near to the clients home.

I’m concerned my needs for which sessions to take may change as my pup progresses. Are your session programs set in stone?

Definitely not! Pam is fully aware that a dogs needs and behaviors may alter from the initial program as your sessions proceed. At each session’s end, Pam will help you decide on your program’s course.
